A Warrant of Fitness is the legal check that keeps your car road-legal in New Zealand. We run full WOF inspections alongside our regular servicing, so if anything needs fixing to pass, it can usually be sorted the same visit.

How often your car needs a WOF depends on its age and registration date, and NZTA has announced changes to WOF frequency from 1 November 2026 — check the label on your windscreen if you're not sure when yours is due. We inspect to the same standard as any VINZ-certified testing station, covering everything from brakes and tyres to lights, structure and steering.
If your car doesn't pass first time, we'll walk you through exactly what needs fixing and quote it before touching anything. Because we're also a full servicing workshop, most WOF repair work — brake pads, tyres, lights, minor structural fixes — can be done there and then rather than sending you elsewhere and starting the process again.
We're open Monday to Friday 9am–5pm and Saturday 9am–12pm for booked appointments, with weekend walk-ins available for standard servicing. After-hours WOF appointments can be arranged — call or text 022 095 0555.

How often does my car need a WOF in New Zealand?
It depends on your vehicle's age and first registration date. Currently, light vehicles first registered from 2000 onwards need an annual WOF (new vehicles are first inspected at three years) and older vehicles every six months. NZTA has announced changes from 1 November 2026, including two-yearly WOFs for many vehicles aged 4 to 14 years. Check your WOF label or the NZTA website for your due date.
What happens if my car fails its WOF?
We'll give you a plain-English list of what needs fixing. Because we're a full workshop, most repairs — brakes, tyres, lights, minor structural items — can be done on the spot so you're not making a second trip.
Can I get a WOF without booking ahead?
WOF inspections are by appointment on weekdays. We do take walk-ins on weekends for standard servicing — call ahead if you'd like us to fit a WOF in as well.
