You'll get a plain-English explanation of what the codes mean and a repair quote before we do anything further — the $60 scan fee doesn't commit you to any repair work. If you decide to go ahead, the diagnostic work already done means we're fixing the right thing the first time.
This is also the first step for ECU tuning and emissions work — a clean diagnostic baseline before any tuning or repair.

Does the diagnostic scan cost count towards a repair?
The scan is priced separately at $60 +GST. We'll always quote any repair work before starting it, so you decide whether to go ahead.
What if my check-engine light is on but the car seems fine?
It's worth scanning it anyway — some faults (like emissions-related codes) don't affect how the car drives day-to-day but can fail a WOF or cause bigger problems if left.
Can you clear the fault code without fixing the issue?
We can, but the light will usually come back once the underlying fault re-triggers it — we'd rather tell you what's actually wrong so you can decide how to proceed.
